Porsche Centre Isle of Man Visits Marown Primary School to Support Year 1 "All About Cars" Project

Last Thursday, September 12th, Porsche Brand Manager Morris Hazel and Porsche Pro Teddy Chambers had a special appointment with Marown Primary School to support their Year 1 students project, "All About Cars." This exciting visit helped to support the pupils learning over the next half term where they will be focusing on how motor vehicles have evolved over time and where the future of transportation is headed.

As part of the educational experience, Porsche Centre Isle of Man brought two standout vehicles for the students to explore: a 911 GT3, representing internal combustion engine (ICE) cars, and the Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo, showcasing the future of electric vehicles (EVs). These cars perfectly illustrated the journey from traditional combustion engines to the growing prominence of electric and hybrid technology in modern vehicles.

The Porsche Centre team kicked off the session by highlighting the key differences between the cars, discussing their aesthetics, performance, and the contrasting inner workings of ICE and electric vehicles. Following that, there was a fun and interactive Q&A session where students and teachers asked a range of insightful questions about the cars, from their mechanics to how they fit into the future of driving.

To cap off the day, the children were invited to sit inside both cars, allowing them to experience the differences firsthand and further fuel their curiosity about the ever-evolving world of automobiles.

Morris and Teddy both agreed that it this was a fantastic opportunity to engage with the next generation and inspire a deeper understanding of how transportation continues to innovate and shape the future.
